Transitioning (Ending cycle)

Let's go higher and higher!! At the beginning of the year, our resolution was to stand on faith and love. Who knew that this year would be so testing!? I mean seriously! This year has put so many people out of jobs, homes, and schools. People have lost their faith but at the same time, many people were able to finally rest, find a new passion, or create something from nothing. Although a lot of work has to be restored, we are transitioning to higher places. No, I don't want to give you false hope; but if you believe with me in the silver lining that we can transition spiritually, physically, and mentally: then change will take place.
The definition of transition means to move from one state or place to another. So for many us of that means moving out of negative situations and into a more positive one. Try to think about what is negatively holding you back. It could be your eating habits, you're thinking patterns, or your environment. As we end this cycle and end this year, we are going to transition to a mental, spiritual, and physical place that brings us peace and happiness.
" Your transitioning is ending cycles"
To transition is to end cycles, just like you transition from a teenager to an adult. That next step requires you to put away some old things. Once you are an adult you can't think and do some of the things a teenager can get away with, because the higher you go the more that is required of you. So, if you are ready to transition you have to be ready for the responsibility that comes with your elevation. I've talked about this before: to get to where you are headed, it requires a process, a sequence of events that help shape you for growth. Now why do some of us have to go through these transitioning periods? The answer is that everything that is truly valuable, went through some hardship! Now everyone's hardship is individualistic, but it is beneficial to your purpose.

In the illustration above you see a young lady standing and a door. Then you see the same lady but she's different. With each door that she goes through, she learns more about herself, she transforms herself, and the higher she goes, the more she transitions. But what you don't see is the transformation that happens inside the doors. From the outside, you see that she levels up, but what happens in the door is the work that is put in: the healing from trauma, negative thoughts, addictions, illness, cycles, and more to get to the glory that you see from the outside. Like many of you, you have done everything in your power to better yourself...but know that your work will not be in vain! Because you didn't give up. I emphasized not giving up because to transition is not easy. It sounds simple until you're in it. Do you remember when you just got out of high school or college and you said "Yeah I'm graduating it's going to be a breeze, getting a job and making up (money)." Then you go job hunting, you get turned down a few times until weeks and months pass before you find anything. Those day-by-day moments are what I mean by transitioning. I say faith over mind because your mind will play some tricks on you and make you give up on the search, but you know that a job will come along. You have to encourage yourself to try again and again and again. The transition period is often the most painful season, you feel lonely, you feel like all hell is breaking loose, and you have to deal with family issues, your inner conflict, loss of friends, all while trusting God in the midst... just to come out of the fire-polished.
"Coming out as pure gold"
There is an old song that goes "When God gets through with me, I will come out as pure gold" by James Cleveland. Why I love those lyrics is because it shows no matter how much the transition period hurts, when it's all over, you will be who and what you were destined to be. When you are transitioning your faith will be tested, you will want to give up and doubt God, even question if he's there. But you have to remember that God is a promise keeper and that he is with you through it all, "I've never seen the righteous forsaken" (Psalms, 37:25) meaning hold on and keep believing God always comes through. I end this blog with these words... endure your process, and you will get to the other side.
