You’re Apart of the Master’s Plan

Good morning, and welcome back to Mahalia’s Inspirations: Empower, Faith, and Overcome Blog.

Today, it was on my heart to remind someone that you are exactly where you need to be, and you are exactly who God wants you to be. Today, I’m going to share a poem by a man named Russell. I believe it expresses the love of God and how He views you. As you read these words, really let them sink in and know that God cares, and He has a plan for you. All you have to do is open your heart to receive Him and surrender to His plan—taking it day by day, step by step.

This poem by Russell Kelfer goes like this:

“You are who you are for a reason

You’re part of an intricate plan

You’re a precious and perfectly unique design,

Called God’s special woman or man

You look like you look for a reason

Our God made no mistake.

He knit you together within the womb

You’re just what He wanted to make.

The parents you had were the ones He chose,

And no matter how you feel,

They were custom-designed with God’s plan in mind,

And they bear the Master’s seal.

No, the trauma you faced was not easy,

And God wept that it hurt you so;

But it was allowed to shape your heart

So that in His likeness you’d grow.

You are who you are for a reason,

You’ve been formed by the Master’s rod.

You are who you are, beloved,

Because there is a God!”

I pray that these words will speak life to you and encourage you to know that God has it all figured out. He made you just the way you were supposed to be. He saw every detail and everything you will face—the good and the bad—and saw that it will work out for your good in the end. It may not feel good in this moment, but with God, all things are possible. And the good news is, He is with us always.

Trust His plan for your life and know that you are loved. Be blessed, and may His grace and favor shine upon you.
