We Need Our Rest

 Hey everyone, 

    I hope you all had a wonderful day! No matter how your day went, I want you to take a moment to breathe. and let the worries of today's problems float away. My encouraging message for you is to find rest. We can be so busy with life, that we literally just don't have time to even make time for ourselves. It sounds crazy right! But in reality, the fast-paced world we live in can drown us so much that we lose touch with our inner selves.  I want to remind you to find rest and peace within and take some time to pray to God because his peace is shining on you. Instead of trying to figure everything out yourself, you can relax in His Presence. Why? because he knows everything about you. How many of you are parents?... And don't you want the best for your child?... Don't you want them to be happy and to do right?...  God wants the best for us. Think of God as a loving parent who constantly sees his child or children in distress. When you can't take the pressure of life you call on your parent to help you. As you lean on Christ you feel peaceful and complete. Guess what! Do you want to know why you will feel peaceful and complete? Because he designed you to live in harmony with Him.  

Have you ever been around some people and just feel drained or just not yourself? Sometimes, we tend to cater to the expectations(real or imagined) of others causing our spirits to dim. You begin to feel enslaved to please them and your awareness of God's light has faded. Your efforts to win those around your approval start to exhaust you. You offer bread crumbs in hopes of feeding you but lead you nowhere. However, if you stay plugged into God's presence his spirit will flow through you, enriching you and causing you to be alive and awake. God wants you to stay in touch with him even during your busiest moments. Let his spirit give you the words of grace as you live day by day and give you peace.  

Right now! take a moment to relax and just talk to God, it doesn't have to perfect but begin to share  your heart like you would with your best friend. He's always ready to hear from us, and never to busy for us. So let's not be too busy for him.
