Waking Up with Faith-Resurrected

Hi, and welcome to Mahalia's Inspirations: where we focus on inspiration, elevation, and Faith.

As we begin today's discussion, I want you to imagine a river. A river is a fresh freely flowing stream of water that flows to large channels like the ocean and sea. You know a river is healthy when it's clear and constantly moving. Now compare a river to a creek. A creek is limited to the proximity it has. It's much smaller compared to a river and can dry up during different seasons. A creek can only move in a limited space and cannot flow outwardly like a river. A river represents living water, growth, prosperity, and movement. This evening, ask yourself are you in a river or a creek?

I wanted to encourage you to know that God is resurrecting you. Now you're probably asking what do you mean by resurrect? Well, I'm glad you ask God is about to raise and lift you up from everything dead, stuck, and limited in your life. The definition of resurrection is defined as “the rising of the dead.” According to Google.com but the word resurrect is also a derivative of the word revitalized. In other words, to have a new life, to be awakened, to be refreshed. God is lifting you out of places that are dark, dead, and serves no purpose to where you are destined to be.  When I think of the word revitalized energy is what comes to mind. When you have been rejuvenated you have fuel, you are alive, and you have the energy to function and move. Have you ever felt like you weren't alive? You're breathing but internally you just felt like there is something dormant waiting to be lifted.

When something is dead, it can't move; there is no growth, there is no life. How many times have we stayed in dead situations hoping and praying for life to come forth? We see no movement, no signs of growth, no signs of life, but we stay in a pond because of fear and lack of clarity on how to move. Today, God says I am resurrecting you. He is lifting you up, he is elevating, levitating you to higher places. He is taking you out from the dead, out of things that hinder, kill, and poorly serve you. It's time my friends, to get ready; because God is about bringing life to your situation. But the choice is yours. Do you want to be resurrected? Do you want to be a part of joy and growth? He is going to revive and elevate you to where he needs you to be in this lifetime. So don't get comfortable! Be okay with leaving that job!  Be okay with leaving some friendships, and be okay with knowing when to get on the train. Because God is about movement. He doesn't want you to feel stuck, have a lack of vision, and be unhappy. He has called you to do great and marvelous things in his name. You won't be stuck anymore, you will no longer be confused, you won't be bound and can't see the light. God is resurrecting you from the dead, he is giving you insight and vision.

Speak it and claim it! What do you want today? The choice is yours. You can continue to feel stuck, have no hope, be bitter, and be angry at life. Or you can choose to bring life to your situation. We have the power to take measures in our own hands. But do we believe it? It is easy to see the negative in life; it's easy to accept that nothing good can come in life. But it's even harder to embrace the good things. Sounds weird right? But it's true. Right now, take time to evaluate what is dead in your life. What is showing no signs of life, no signs of growth? Ask yourself can it be revived? If it can, ask God to show you the next steps to bring a better outcome. If there is no life, no signs of improvement then you need to let it go. Cut the cord and search for life - places and people that speak life to you, that add positivity to your life, and that you can see yourself learning and growing in. God is ready to move when we are ready to take action. So, I hope you're encouraged, and you get ready for God to lift you. You’re coming out of that dark place, you’re coming out of those dead relationships. Better is ahead and rise up out of the ashes.

I leave you with this song by Johnathan Nelson Anything Can Happen. Until next time, be happy, be inspired, and bless someone else along the way.
