The Greatest Advocate

In a world where everyone has a microphone and voices compete to be heard, justice feels out of reach. There is one advocate we can always rely on—and His name is Jesus. Man, oh man, let me tell you about this amazing man, Jesus, who has your back like no other. When life feels overwhelming, He offers peace and the comforting assurance that He stands before the Father, pleading on our behalf with grace, mercy, and love.

There are many causes that people are actively advocating for, but the greatest advocate is Jesus. He publicly vouched for us and paid a debt we could never repay. Jesus defended us and is now making intercession to the Father on our behalf.

Have you ever felt alone or like you were in a prison—mentally or physically—and someone believed in you, gave you another chance, and maybe even stayed by your side, encouraging you to choose a better way? Romans 8:34.That is exactly who Jesus is. He fights for you and pushes you to be better because He believes in you and loves you beyond measure. His fight on the cross was because He saw the destruction we headed towards and chose to give us the option for life.

You're Heard

When you pray and talk to God, He hears you. And because He hears and cares about you, He makes sure your voice is heard. Then He takes it a step further—when we don't even know what to pray for, He intercedes on our behalf, according to Romans 8:27:

"And He who searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes on behalf of God’s people in accordance with God’s will."

We are precious to God. He thinks we are so special and loves us so much that He will never stop fighting for us. So never stop praying. Never stop telling God what's on your mind, and ask Him to intercede on your behalf—because who knows you better, and knows what’s best for you, than the One who created you?

You're Seen

If you've ever felt invisible or like no one cares about you, you're not alone. Maybe you've faced criticism and accusations. Maybe you try your best to treat people right and do good, and it never feels like it's reciprocated.

Jesus sees you—the real you, the good and the bad—and still, He says, “It’s okay. That one is Mine.” He doesn’t see you as guilty. When He looks at you, all He sees is His blood that covers your sins.

No matter where you've been or what burdens you carry, know that Jesus is speaking on your behalf even now. Rest in the truth that your Advocate is with you and will never leave you—that you have someone who sticks closer than a brother on your side.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father we thank you for simply being who you are. We thank you for being our advocate, and we ask that you please continue to make intercession for us when we don't know what to pray for. Thank you for being by our side and proving that you're reliable and dependable. Please keep us in Jesus name Amen.
