One Look

One look, one moment, one chance, one step, and one leap of faith is all it takes.  We just celebrated resurrection day. Jesus died on the cross; as he was dying...bleeding on calvary, he took one look at you and said: "it is finished".  It was just one look that changed your life. He remembered you and everything you would have to endure while being on earth and he never had to second guess his sacrifice. He loved you so much to give you a life of peace.  That same one moment, that same look, so that your life can be everything you could ever imagine. God is the author and finisher of your story, he is the alpha and omega, and he wants to see you happy. 

He is not to blame for your hardships in life. He didn't cause your father to leave, he didn't cause you to be in debt, he didn't cause that trauma to happen... but he said if you trust in me I will help you get through it. What Jesus offers is everlasting life. On Earth, we get so caught up in what's next and what I can do and how can I be famous or rich, but with that it doesn't bring peace or happiness. There is always something that will be taken from you. But God is looking at your situation and he's waiting for you to put your hope and your trust in him. 

Do you see the lenses above?  Look in those glasses; think, imagine how God sees you. You may see yourself as less than, ugly, not smart, nasty, sad, imperfect. We all have things we don't like about ourselves but God sees us as everything.  He values you so much that he died so you can have the opportunity to live in love and in peace with him. The only way in life is to acknowledge him and ask Jesus to come into your life.  Love is a miracle, love is the most powerful thing. 

Your entire life can change for good, you can have joy again, you can have peace again, you can have love again, you can have your life again.

Will you take that leap of faith and say  "Lord here I am. I'm  yours." And find a pastor to talk to?
