Have you ever found yourself amid a seemingly insurmountable problem, feeling as if you're standing alone, unnoticed? If so, I have a message of reassurance for you- mustard seed faith is all you need. In today's blog, we will delve into the profound power of the mustard seed faith, exploring its significance and how to harness it to overcome any challenge.
What is faith?
Why do we need it?
How to use it?
Let's look into what faith is…
What is faith?
Faith is believing and hoping in something that you haven’t seen yet. It is a lot like planting seeds. You plant a seed and hope it will grow when the time is right. In the meantime, you take care of it and trust it will do what it was designed to do. There is power in believing. ‘What will you put your faith in? If you came here, you’re facing an obstacle and don’t know how to overcome it. Please believe that you can get through it, whether it's stress, mental anguish, finances, or health. If your mind is telling you, “I'm unhappy, I will never have good things, I can never do good things, I will always live in poverty, I will always suffer from this mental issue,” I want you to choose to have faith in the opposite of every negative thought. You can believe so much in negativity but rarely believe in good things. I want to tell you that nothing is too complicated for God, no matter what you’re facing: stress, bills, sickness, or anything else. So, what do you choose to believe? You can say I will have a blessed life, a support system, and mental clarity, but if you don’t honestly believe in the words you speak or the life you envision, then there is no point in saying it. Your faith will determine everything. Believe it like it’s already yours. Walking by faith and not by sight is saying I will have victory even if, at this present moment, it doesn’t look like it. I trust that God will not fail me.
Why do we need faith?
We need faith because it gives us strength, purpose, and direction. Faith erases doubt and the notion that we are doomed to fail. Having faith encourages you to know that things will work out. Even when challenges come, faith gives you the boost you can overcome. The scripture states, “And Jesus said unto them, because of your unbelief for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of a mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, remove, hence to yonder place; and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20, when challenges come in our lives, we need faith to believe that this problem won't consume us. Problems don’t have to control us, but we can control the situation. It begins with what you think; what you think turns into what you believe. So, if you believe there is no help, you will always be defeated, and problems will devour you. But if you think you’re a winner and this problem is just a fork in the road you can overcome, then you will
How to use Faith.
Mustard seed is the smallest grain but has the most bountiful harvest. In mark 4:30, it states, “It is like a grain of mustard seed, which it's sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth, but when it is sown, it giveth up and becometh greater than all herbs, and showeth out great branches.” This scripture means all it takes is an ounce of saying I turn off negativity and choose to be positive. That one step towards positive thinking and believing in God will be the greatest reward. You use faith by simplifying, saying I trust you, God, to move on my behalf. I won't complain or worry; I trust you so that you won’t fail me.
What I also love about this text is that people may think you’re small and insignificant, like the mustard seed, but when you’re sown into the earth, you reap the greatest harvest and provide an abundance of crops. In other words, when you abide or dwell in God and have a solid relationship with Christ, he makes you fruitful; he causes everything you do to be abundant because you’re planted in him.
What do you need to believe in God for? There is no sickness, evil attack, or burden that is too hard for God to solve. The great news is he wants to solve it for you. He wants you to trust that he can take care of you. So, it's okay if you don’t have immense faith now; it's OK if you are so weak and tired and don’t have strong faith in God; he wants a little bit. He can take a little bit and make it a lot. Remember, a relationship is about trust. God wants a relationship with you; he wants you to trust him just as much as he wants to trust you. It’d be about give and take. So today, give God just a little faith the size of a mustard seed and watch him turn your situation around. Watch him bless, heal, restore, and free you. Then, when God shows up for you, it will strengthen your faith and make you believe that God can do bigger things for you.
I hope this word encourages you to trust God with the size of a mustard seed faith and watch it move you toward your blessings and victory. Believe that your problem is solved; believe that it’s already done. Even with small faith, you can tell your problem to move. No matter how big your problem is, no matter what the wall or a stumbling block in your life, your faith and your belief to overcome will determine your victory. I pray that this message encourages you, that God covers you until next time, and that you will be blessed.
Love,
Mahalia💛💛
