God thinks of you

Hey, and welcome back to Mahalia’s Inspirations Waking Up With Faith. In last month’s blog, I talked about the mustard seed. There was a section in the mustard seed blog where I spoke about how the mustard seed is the smallest compared to all the other seeds in the food group, but when the mustard seed is planted and ready to crop,  it produces the most harvest compared to all the different herbs. What  I loved about the mustard seed is that even though it's small and unimportant, God still thought of it and gave it purpose. Like the mustard seed, many people probably thought you were insignificant and small and probably counted you out. But I want to remind you that God thinks about you and wants you to have hope, peace, joy, and love and to be with him eternally.

Like  David in the Bible, his community saw him as insignificant; his community saw him as small, and his family saw him as small. He would be a little shepherd boy, my God, but Samuel anointed him to be king because God saw him, chose him, and knew what David could do. It wasn't just because of David's strengths, skills, or abilities but because David's heart posture was proper with God.  God knew that David would be after his own heart; he would be constantly seeking the face of God, and that's why his anointing was so powerful. That's why he killed Goliath, was king, and had wisdom and a legacy.  God thinks of you, and he sees you. Because God thought of David and saw him, he could bless him in such a way that through his lineage, Jesus came forth.

Don’t let your Shortcomings Belittle You

So,  when people think you are insignificant, overlook, or reject you,  know it's okay because God thinks of you and sees you. God knows what you are capable of; he sees your future and wants you to know that you can have a blessed and happy life in him. Before David was anointed as king, he was tending sheep and was used to fighting small battles. God had to prepare him for his future. Just like David, God is preparing you for your destiny. When the time is right, God will make it happen. Isaiah 60:22. That’s what God is saying: so when the time is right, you will be able to show your harvest, show what you can do, and everyone will see not for your vanity, not for your selfish glory, but to show others the joy and goodness there is in serving God.

To show that  God can change your story from being forgotten to thought about, from being unloved to being loved, broken to being healed, and so much more. When you allow God to be the author of your story, you see how he can come up with a grand ending that you could never imagine for yourself.  Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts I think towards you thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you hope and expected end,” and this is the central message of today's topic that I want you to know that God thinks of you and he wants the best for you.

God's saying that I wish that you prosper as your soul prosper. God wants us to grow and elevate in him and obtain every spiritual blessing with salvation. Psalms 137:17 states, how precious are your thoughts towards me, oh God! How significant is the sum of them.” This shows that God's thoughts are good towards us and infinite.

Trust in his thoughts for you

His thoughts and ways are higher than yours (Isaiah 55: 8-9 NIV). If you trust his will, you will see he has prepared a way for you.   All you need to do is trust in him and the path he has for you. God thinks you’re unique and good because you are made in his image (Genesis 1:27 NIV ). Because he knows you better than you know yourself, he knows the best career move for you to take, the best spouse for you, and what diet you should eat.  God gave you your gifts, your skills, and your abilities. Don't think that you can do this on your own. You can and could try, but it won't be the full effect of what God can do in your life.

You will see that your plans and what you can do are small compared to what  God wants to do. God wants to take you from glory to glory only if you fix your heart and mindset to believe in his words. Hence, God thinks of you, and God knows you. God wants you to trust that you will align your life with his will. To turn your story of pain into purpose. If you open your heart to him, he can take everything meant for evil and use it for good.

Turning Evil into Good

The Bible says bad things will happen to good people, but if you put those things that happened to you in the hands of God, watch how God will change them for you. You will no longer have a story of I've been abused; you will no longer have a story of self-harm; you will no longer have a story of low self-esteem; you will no longer have a story of suicidal thoughts because God has changed your story and life.

It’s not because you deserve it but because he saw you. God saw you; You can now choose to see yourself how he sees you.  You can choose joy, peace, and living happy, abundantly, and blessedly.  God will not withhold any good thing to those who are his, according to Psalms 84:11.  The first step in believing his vision for you is knowing it all starts in your mind; it all begins with what you think today.  I challenge you to ask yourself, what am I going to believe? Will I feel my negative mindset, or will I believe what God thinks of me?  I can assure you that God thinks of you as peace and hope.  Everything that tells you that says you're no good,   that you will always remain stuck; you were always ugly, and you would never come out of this. God is saying I think of you as the opposite of everything negative that's telling you lies in  your mind.

The choice is Yours.

What do you choose to believe in? Will you believe in the status quo? Will you think that you’re not good? Will you feel that you are stuck in generational curses? Or will you believe what God says about you, how he thinks, and how he sees you? Today, you can believe in good for yourself, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and tap into the promises he has for you.  Like David, he was seen as small; he struggled deeply with insecurities and not feeling worthy enough. Until he encountered Christ's love, he tapped into the thoughts and vision of how God saw and thought of him. I want you to tap into what God thinks and sees.

I hope this message encourages you to know that the thoughts and images you see yourself, God, can turn around for you. I pray that you open your heart to receive him and allow him to heal you entirely so you can walk in the light and see his purpose for you. Until next time, stay blessed.
