God’s Grace Is Enough
“My weakness is not an obstacle to God. It’s an opportunity for His power to shine in my life. God’s grace is enough to carry me one day at a time.”
These words, from a Bible plan on YouVersion called God in the Midst of Depression, stuck with me deeply. They reminded me that God can truly do anything. At first, I thought of His provision only in terms of material things like a car or a job—but He is so much more than that. God provides for me emotionally and spiritually. He heals parts of me I didn’t even know were broken—beliefs, mindsets, struggles like depression, insecurities, and shortcomings.
What was too hard for me was never too hard for Him. Over the past year, I had to get real with myself and with God, learning to accept that His grace is enough.
What Is God’s Grace?
God’s grace is defined as undeserved favor, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and acceptance, even in the face of our imperfections and wrongdoings. No matter what you’ve done or how unworthy you may feel, His grace is enough.
If you want God to shine in the hidden places of your life—in your brokenness, your shame, and even your deepest secrets—He can and He will. All it takes is one step of faith to believe that He is enough to see every part of you and still call you worthy.
For me, that step meant looking in the mirror and facing parts of myself I didn’t like—parts I thought were healed but weren’t. I had to accept His grace—His kindness, His forgiveness, His acceptance—carrying me day by day. It was a hard truth to swallow: I don’t deserve God’s grace. By my own merit, I deserve death, judgment, and separation from Him. But because of His love and the price Jesus paid for me on the cross, I have another chance—another story.
An Invitation
I invite you to experience God’s grace for yourself. His lovingkindness is here for you. The problems you’re facing, the shame you’re carrying, the guilt that weighs you down—they are not too dark for Him. God sees every part of you and still loves you. He’s waiting for you to let it go and choose Him.
I pray this encourages you to know that His grace is enough for you.
Until next time, may God bless you and keep you.
Love,
Mahalia 💛💛
