Finding Your Strength

Hey guys! It's Mahalia Inspirations and we're starting off the new year with our focus on faith and love. Today's topic will be finding strength when you're weak.  Have you ever felt so tired, and drained that there is no fight left in you? Often times when we are dealing with constant events that bring us anxiety and sadness instead of peace, it causes us to lose strength.  Just like how a flower dies once water and sunlight aren't being offered on a daily basis. The flower will eventually start to shrivel up as the days go by, getting weaker and weaker until its dead.

The same concept applies to us and our spirits. If we are not in good company or are living a lifestyle that is beneficial to ourselves, we start to become weaker and weaker until we have no more strength in us. We lose strength to do what's right, stand up for injustice, help someone else in need, and even take care of ourselves.  We are lights and light is the brightest thing on the planet. But have you ever experienced a light that begins to dim over the years? You blink and the next thing you know it doesn't shine as bright as it once did. Don't be that dimmed light where you can't be useful and use your strengths. "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness" 2 Corinthians 12:9 When we are feeling weak God is our strength. He holds our burdens when it seems like we are going to crumble.

This week I had to depend on God and ask for him to give me strength. I have been dealing with this health issue and I get so tired of going back and forth to the doctors with all these tests.  I had job problems and family problems. But I had to remind myself "Hey God's got me". I don't know what you guys have been through this week so far and I don't know what is going to come tomorrow, but know this: Through it all, Jesus is your source of strength, and when you feel like giving up, know that in your weakness you are strong. I pray that you will find your strength, having faith to trust that God is true to his word. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
