Accepting the Unknown

Have you ever just had to let go of something and said whatever happens... happens?

Accepting the unknown is hard, but sometimes life requires you to just trust that what God is doing is beyond your control.

The scariest thing about the unknown is, it's the UNKNOWN! There is no control or predictability to it. Accepting the unknown is like driving a car with no destination. But at the same time maybe it's a beautiful thing because the unknown allows you to relax and let God do his job.

God is sovereign which means he rules above all; if we learn to just trust God and his way for us, life would be so much easier. "Follow all the directions the Lord your God has given you. Life will go well for you" Deuteronomy 5:33 {GW}.  When I found a lump in my right breast I was so scared, my mind was racing through thoughts like: "is it cancerous?, is it benign(not cancerous)?, how long is this process going to be?, am I going to die?". I had to shut out the noise and my anxiety and just trust the unknown, and once I did that no matter how many procedures and doctor's appointments I went through, I had a peace that no matter what the report is I will be okay because God's got my back.

That's why I want to encourage you that no matter how scary the unknown may seem, trust God that he has the best plan for you. I know many of you are out of a job right now, some of you still have your jobs, some of you can't see your love ones, some of you are feeling depressed and just not yourself; and on the other hand, some of you are loving this quarantine time with your family and a break from work. But when all of this is over, the life that we know will be different. It will look different and for some, they can't handle that reality. But know that the unknown is okay! When people were fighting for freedom in this country the whites were petrified of the unknown, of what the future of this world will be; it's the same concept with this virus, people are afraid of what this virus will make our country in the future... but for better or for worse, if you put your hope in Christ

there will be nothing to fear.
